Like the Starship Enterprise, Avatar® is a technology that’s time has arrived. A technology at the leading edge of personal and planetary change. Some years ago, Kate Wilhelm, the science fiction writer or as she prefers, reality fiction writer gave a speech which she called “The Uncertain Edge of Reality”. In it she referred to how uncertain things are at the leading edge.
There have been Business courses and New Age courses, Personal Development, Designing Corporate Culture. Motivation, Education, Visualisation, Positive Thinking, Accelerated Learning, Hypnosis & Self-Hypnosis, Mind Power, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Alpha Mind Control, Meditations of many sorts, Total Quality Management.
Lets face it, there is a course so that everybody can be successful in every aspect of their lives. So how come not everybody is at the top of the ladder? Is it because the facts (the secrets) aren’t available to everyone? If so is this a failing of the education system? Of course if you were at the top of the ladder then the person you just displaced is going to work twice as hard to get back there, because he or she was already motivated to be there in the first place.
Surely it is obvious that not everybody can be the leader, and perhaps it is even more obvious that you’re not going to be the leader in every area of your life. Analysis by researchers into the underlying attributes of successful entrepreneurs have isolated one necessary requirement, single-mindedness and two important others being the instinct of a trader and the charm of a sorcerer. They have the ability to make people feel as if they are the most important person in the world. Yet in another moment be of no further consequence.
You can listen to the most persuasive of trainers, you can get the best of all information, you can even practice the most elegant of techniques, but unless you have crystal clear beliefs you are guaranteed to experience the limitations in your life of those beliefs you do hold.
Now beliefs are not just ideas that reside in your mind, they are the blueprint from which your experience is determined. The difference between you and anybody else is in what you believe. What you experience in your world is a product of what you believe about the world and your position in it. This is not some sort of intellectual concept, but something that can be demonstrated in reality. What you experience is what you created with your beliefs, and if it requires another person then you will be co-creating a reality with this other.
If you want to be successful in the world then you will require the world to acknowledge your success. To do this there is an interdepence, a relationship between you and the rest of the world, or more specifically your world. For your acknowledgement of success you will have to believe in your worth as a person, but more than that you have to recognise the worth of the others with whom you wish to have their support.
