Equilibrium is the consequence of two forces. If two forces are absolutely and invariably equal, the equilibrium will be immobility and therefore the negation of life. Movement is the result of an alternative preponderance. The impulsion given to one of the sides of a balance necessarily determines the motion of the other. Thus contraries act on one another, throughout all Nature, by correspondence and analogical connection. All life is composed of an inspiration and a respiration; creation postulates a shadow to serve as a bound for light, of a void to serve as space for the plenitude, of a passive fructified principle to sustain and realise the power of the active generating principle. All Nature is bisexual, and the movement which produces the appearances of death and life is a continual generation. God loves the void, which He made in order to fill it; science loves the ignorance which it enlightens; strength loves the weakness which it supports; good loves the apparent evil which glorifies it; day is desirous of night, and pursues it unceasingly round the world; love is at once a thirst and a plenitude which must pour itself forth. He who gives receives, and he who receives gives; movement is a continual interchange. To know the law of this change, to be acquainted with the alternate or simultaneous proportion of these forces, is to posses the first principle of the Great Magical Arcanum, which constitutes true human divinity.”
Forward
At the end of any cycle, there is a time of re-balancing. Such re-balancing is necessary because of old crystallised views are no longer relevant, nor valid. In most cases the re-balancing process is exaggerated and the pendulum swings violently to the other extreme, or at least seemingly so. Usually, the same pervasive and crystallised views remain, with one pole in society replacing its opposite.
Two thousand years ago humanity was just leaving the astrological age of Aries, what may better be termed the Age of Will, and moving into the Age of Emotion, in Pisces. For the two thousand years of the Age of Will, the world had been ruled by warrior kings, who worshipped spiteful and vengeful gods. Then came the “Messiah of Love”, with a message of a one god of love and forgiveness. This “Prince of Peace” taught a devotional religion that was to replace the older retributional ones, but the result has not been to create a world of peace, but to continue the vengeful hatred of one ethnic religion against another, even up to the present.
In the last two hundred years, as the Piscean age comes to an end, scientific study of reality began to exert itself, ushering in the Age of Reason, the Aquarian age. The force of the mental realm gained enough power to overthrow the emotional power plays of the devotional church, but in doing so it completely removed any sense of a higher being, even a meaning for life, leaving humanity with a lack of purpose and continuity.
In the early nineteen sixties, the hippie movement brought a return to a guiding higher power initially through the introduction of a drug culture; LSD, Marijuana, and the contraceptive pill. Love was in the air, or at least sex was, free and fulfilling for all. As childbirth was controlled, and women were no longer at the mercy of their bodily functions, there became less and less obvious distinctions between the two sexes. No longer was motherhood at the mercy of accident (or higher design), but was a point of choice. The result has been a change in roles for women, with many delaying, or even swapping permanently, the role of mother for that of career and an equal place with men in society.
As in the past, this idea of equality has become exaggerated, as, not only have women competed for a equal place, but in many cases, if not most, they have outstandingly won. Unfortunately, a win for women has been a loss for both sexes. Why a loss?
In a scientific world of cryogenic storage, the male purpose of insemination has been removed. A single ejaculate of millions of sperm can now be individually selected and officially inseminate an ovum each. There is probably enough sperm in storage to keep the human race going for the rest of the available life on this planet. So although it is unnecessary to have a sperm factory, it is still essential to have the proper conditions for gestation, the perfect incubator, a womb. Biologically, a male has no purpose, the female continues to be needed and valued.
The male is a more muscular animal, but with the ever-increasing availability of labour saving devices, even physical strength is not needed. The male role of defence of the society is no longer a military one, but a technological one, now open to women. Again, with a diminishing need for males. Women, with their predominance for language and relationship are better at, and more acceptable to the world of commerce, and are making more moves into this field. The so-called “old boy” network has been replaced with a far more emotionally connected “old girl” network, where women selectively use and employ women, even where such selectivity is illegal. This whole issue is demonstrated nowhere clearer than on the Internet, with e-mail jokes passed on to friends. While it is no longer acceptable to make jokes about racial characteristics, nationalities, people with handicaps, there is a plethora of jokes about men. Actually, because commerce is also becoming more a world of skill and education, people at the higher socio-economic levels of society have become more employable, and those at the other end less so. The wealthy family has two incomes and no children, while those at the other end have no job, welfare income and numerous children, none of whom are likely to become workers. Such a system is the source of huge resentment, the employed are angry and resentful of having to support what they think of as lazy, the unemployed are angry and resentful of all the material goods they cannot afford.
Homosexual and lesbian relationships are on the increase, although it will be claimed that there has always the same percentage through time. Lesbianism is proudly feminine in orientation, even if it seems overtly masculine from the outside, and homosexuality is also proudly feminine. It seems everyone wants to be female. Of course, we all want to be on the winning side. The real issue is, what is to happen to a gender that has been made redundant. The answer to this question is rather damning. The disaffected males are becoming more depressed and angrier. The result is violence to those whom they see as the perpetrators, through family violence, rape and murder, and less overtly through pornography. The other result is serious psychotic illness and suicide. It is no wonder that the increase in the last five years of the cases of both prostate and breast cancer. Perhaps, even more disastrously, is the increase in male teenage suicide, addiction and violent rage.
If we ask where this trend will take us, we would have to predict, more of the same only worse. As the lower-economic population grows in ever increasing poverty, the rage will continue to grow. Such a rage will initially be expressed onto the women of their own group, and more and more onto society at large, until a single event will create a spark into the tinder dry conditions and ignite a mass uprising resulting in mayhem and the fall of humanity back to the dark ages. Unless, there is an enlightened revival, that seeing these undercurrents creates a society that gives meaning back to all of its members. The tide of greed, of mine for me must stop, and it must stop now. It will mean changing direction, it will mean generating a sense of belonging, it will mean less for the wealthy, a transfer of benefits, a sharing society.
The claim has been that men do not honour and respect women, and maybe that is been true. These days there are many women, particularly those in business who do not respect nor engage in business dealings with men, if at all possible. As usual the tide has changed. Unless we soon arrive at a balance with men and women using their best skills and natural attributes, it will be too late.
“Balancing the Force” is a book that is written in an attempt to address these issues at a fundamental level, that demonstrates a natural role for both men and women. It is only a beginning, as the issues are complex, and it will require a willingness of both genders of somewhat enlightened group of people, working against the tide as the masses engage in a war of wealth and poverty. Let us hope there are enough willing helpers.
This is a book about relationship, about the interaction and interconnection of two distinctly different viewpoints. Yet it is book is also about consciousness (i.e. has a spiritual dimension). It is about relationships formulated in consciousness. There are myriads of books written about interpersonal relationships from a conventional perspective, from the individual author’s points of view. Some of these viewpoints I may agree with, and others not. I consider that while a viewpoint may seem logical and accurate within the current social perspective, it may be entirely inaccurate within the overall scheme of reality.
It is for this reason that I have considered intimate relationships from the perspective of Consciousness. There is an underlying stream of occult lineage from both Eastern and Western traditions that support the concepts and principles presented. Within both of these traditions there are archetypes of a divine male and a divine female, and a serpent that either separates or joins them together. In the Judaic tale of Adam and Eve, the serpent is the false god or the deceiver that tempts the pair to sin by carnal sexual knowledge. In the Hindu mythology Shiva and Shakti join together in sexual union and awaken the sleeping serpent of Kundalini.
I have taken these divine beings as the inspirational blueprints for each man and woman. What is true at the divine level is also true at the personal manifest level. Beyond this, the ideas contained within this are not purely extensions of hidden doctrine, but are the basis of a vision, and a revelation given to me, through a process now known as channelling.
The author of the revelation is known to us as “Mercredan”, who has defined “itself” as a energy system, that both separates and connects my personality and my own essential being. In a sense this energy system operates as a direct link from what we may call “higher mind” to the physical body. The process for me is rather like a stepping out of the way of an endless supply of internalised knowledge. I have no experience of where this knowledge originates. I simply note it for what it is actually transmitting. Much of this work has been practical experiments, that actually demonstrate some useful tools. Over time, I have learned to trust this opening into a conscious reservoir. Personally, I believe that what I am really doing is focusing my attention on a theme and penetrating to the essential point within the Absolute where that theme is in potential. I simply pickup the potential and translate that into recognisable terms. What this actually means will become clearer through the text.
The information thus gathered was originally channelled as practical aligning exercises for which I can vouch. Each exercise is self-contained and operates within a framework of conscious understanding. Utilising these exercises gave me confirmation of the basic principles that were given at the time. From there I have been able to disclose a body of information that I had been given over a lengthy period of time. I am in debt to a small number of women friends and lovers with whom I have had the pleasure and benefit of being in relationship. All of them have taught me what I needed to experience at that time. All of them will remain with me as part of my evolution.
I would like to deeply and publicly thank Vivienne Berry for her trust and adherence to experimenting with the exercises as they were given, without which this book and the Art course would not have been possible. Without Vivienne’s strength and support I would not have been persuaded to put that training nor this book into Mass Consciousness. I realise that it may challenge some people’s beliefs. I also believe the principles and their application as disclosed here are the most accurate at this point in history. I would also like to thank the members of the first Art Course, who gave me such complimentary feedback and encouragement to continue with the programme. This support has been gratefully received, particularly in regard to the confirmation that the materials are both accurate and applicable. We hope that the tools you learned allow you to transform any of the difficulties that inevitably arise on your journeys of evolution. We would like to dedicate this book to those brave souls who had the faith in me to commit to joining in that original trial series. Here is the book I promised you.
Quoting Albert Einstein; “What a deep conviction of the rationality of the universe and what a yearning to understand, were it but a feeble reflection of the mind revealed in this world, Kepler and Newton must have had to enable them to spend years of solitary labour in disentangling the principles of celestial mechanics!”
You may think that a book on relationships should confine itself to that topic. As you will discover, I have defined in detail some of the Greater Principles of the Divine in order to even begin to understand the essence of relationship. I believe that this approach is what characterises this book over any others about the subject. Unless we understand the fundamental principles that determine the formation of experiential reality, we are very likely to mistake the obvious and install what we have been socially conditioned to believe.
Such social conditioning is one of the major downfalls of the late 20th century. In an attempt to redeem itself from the abuses of history, mankind has adopted ideas that are as unbalanced as the ones they replaced. Men over women have been replaced by women over men. Oppressed tribes-people have become the oppressors in turn. Victims of genocide soon turn into genocidal victimisers. In the turn around people have forgotten that all division between self and the universe is self-created. All things are a reflection of the true self. Whatever you see and experience is a mirror for your being, a gift from Divine Source to you as a tool to bring awakening. The most perfect mirror for you will always be someone of the opposite sex, and preferably someone with whom you are the most intimate, open and honest, and above all the one person from whom there is no escape. This person is your humble mirrored being, the person who undoubtedly will bring the Balance back to the Force.
