The Mirrored Being is a book about the true human divinity expressed through relationship with its divine counterpart. It takes you back to the fundamental cause, a divine being expressing itself through polarity. This, then, is a story of the divine conception of humanity and the process of reintegration by understanding and respecting the differences between male and female. When you can really see and appreciate the similarities and the differences that the opposite sex shows, then you will have opened the doorway to a path that leads directly to the Divine. Here you meet your Mirrored Being, not the self as you know it, but a much larger Self.
Balancing the Force is a book about paradox. Paradox is a statement that at first sight appears to be absurd or self-contradictory but in reality contains a sub-stratum of truth. It is also anything which appears inconsistent with known experience, or which seems to have qualities that are at variance with other qualities possessed by it. While the book contains material drawn from many of the great traditions, and enters the inconceivable realms of spirit and consciousness, it still outlines a framework that is inherently practical in application. Balancing the Force is the conceptual background for the Art of Relationships course. Both the course and the book are not politically correct, for I wish to awaken people to much of the nonsense that has trapped and broken the western societies of the late twentieth century. This is a book of the twenty-first century, a book of the Aquarian Age, a book of the New World Order. I make no apologies for the concepts the book upholds, and believe them to be as higher truths as I am able to bring through at this time.
There is an unusual coincidence that came to my attention during the preparation of the Art course, that is the tarot card XIV in the Aleister Crowley pack. Traditionally this tarot card is called “Temperance”, but when Crowley reinterpreted the cards in the 1940’s he renamed this card “Art”. He notes that the card represents the Consummation of the Royal Marriage that took place in the card called “Lovers”. The interpretation of the “Art” card is as the symbol for the universal principle of integration, synthesis, and synergy. To become a worldly artiste we must complete the balance of the apparent paradoxes, opposing forces, and polarities within our psyche. Synergy is the union of two or more dynamics that when combined create a whole greater that the sum of the individual parts. Fire and water combined produce steam, which holds more than the power of fire and the water do, separately, together. The collapsing of the paradox that challenges all humankind is this, “How do we bring union to the polarities associated with life and death? Is there a hint of the solution contained within orgasm, called the ‘little death’?”
Does full orgasm require both active loving and letting go, ceasing to control? Does letting go of control lead us to the challenge of “Thy Will, not my will? Perhaps the biggest question to answer is this, “If sexual union is so pleasurable, and orgasm (the little death) so divine, will not the dying to the world and union with the Divine be more ecstatically pleasurable? If this premise is accurate, then why do we resist it so much? True alchemy realises that transmutation of base metal into gold occurs within the retort under the influence of fire. It is quite significant that the shape of the retort of the ancients resembles the womb and vaginal opening and that the orgiastic impulse is felt as a intense burning sensation, a fire within.
Balancing the Force is written to give a greater form to the Art programme out of which it has evolved. This is an eight-day programme that guides people, and especially couples, into the realms of creative consciousness from which they were born. Why, then, would I create such a seminar? We make sense of the world through it’s innate order, a systematic plan. There is a growing awareness that there is something beyond the materialistic world, and many people are searching for the key that makes sense of experience. The ART programme brings sense and structure to intimate relationships by comparing the orderliness of natural polarity, and using the principles demonstrated to teach us how to be.
Time is a three dimensional quality that is created in consciousness to give the feeling of space. Yet time, as we know it, is running out. Humanity is on the brink of a huge discovery, and one from which it will never recover. The discovery is the clear experience of consciousness. We are about to wake up to the needless pain and suffering we cause and experience. This pain and suffering is needless because we alone cause it to ourselves, it is not an inherent part of any divine plan. The suffering is refusing to experience or even accept the existence of a Divine plan and the single greatest resistance is the resistance to living without separation.
Here is the paradox we must resolve, or perhaps I should say, dissolve. If it is my individual choice to be separate within a Divine plan that contains no separation, and how then do I become aligned with the Divine? Here, I challenge you to start and finish your journey. If you do choose to enter with the fullness of your total being, then you will never be the same again. When you give your body, heart, mind and soul to the Divine, you are transformed. No one can tell you what gift you will receive, but there is one. Each gift is specific for each individual. From the outside this gift may appear more as a curse, but from the inside you will be utterly transformed by the gift. The most significant part is this, this is a gift from yourself to yourself. The Master Jesus supposedly said, “Take this bitter fruit from my lips”, yet the crucifixion was his journey into eternal life. You are never asked to give more than you can.
The original Art programme was created from the experiences and adventures in consciousness that I had over the course of the last thirty years of exploration. Living and working through a number of intimate relationships and friendships have led me to evaluate and re-evaluate many principles. That I have not been exceptionally successful is in the main due to the difficulty I have had expressing my masculinity, taking a stand. Given such a lack it is little wonder that the women in my life have often demonstrated masculinity and I have ever regailed against it. Each one has made me stronger along the way and I am for ever indebted for that.
These materials are the culmination and junction of a number of thought and experiential streams. My upbringing was in the artistic world of a professional musician, and I escaped from that world into the exploration of consciousness through hallucinogenic drugs, an early marriage that lasted over twenty years, an in-depth study of Kabbalah and Western Magic, the “Seth Material”, the hypnotic work of Milton Erickson and later NLP, and finally the Avatar® experience.
All of these influences have come together to form the basis and understanding that is the Art Materials, and as a sub-set, this book “Balancing the Force”. I hope that this material is useful to read and to use to delve deeper into your own inner nature, whether that is from a male or a female perspective. I hope that you will begin to have a fuller understanding of the fundamental differences between the genders, and that this understanding will engender deeper respect for the alternative species that you share this consciousness creation with.
As I progressed, first with the concepts and later with specific processes that lead the experimenter across the terrain of consciousness, it became clear that these perceptions answered numerous questions that have been the root cause of most of the misalignments between men and women over both past and present history. These perceptions are the basis of this book. The course itself will remain confidential, mainly so that the quality of delivery is maintained, and that future instructors actually understand the underlying basis of these perceptions, particularly the practical applications of such fundamental principles such as, and in particular, paradox. It isn’t so much that paradox is in any way difficult, rather that people, whether male or female, are less than willing to recognise the ramifications of that understanding. This book will deal with paradox in some detail, particularly in view of the connection that some writers have suggested, that paradox is to be the spiritual direction of the true Aquarian Age.
So what then is the difference between these materials and any other book or course on Relationships? First and foremost, it is that they are a study of the nature of polarity in consciousness. Secondly, they realise that the two poles of any continuum is created by the manifestation of a paradox at a higher level of creation. Balancing the Force is foremost a book about consciousness, yet it is also about the practical applications of specific concepts within intimate relationships. Many of these concepts will apply in more formal relationships too, and as a result I hope that better understanding and communication will occur between the sexes. I realise that some people will be offended, then I also realise that offence appears when what someone writes or says is different to what was already believed. There is little point in getting into any debate about this, I have already experienced the positive results of putting this philosophy into practice with a number of couples and single people, and it works! Stress levels drop, fighting and disapproval stops, laughter and loving takes form. Life is light, and when seriousness settles in, then you are in for a heavy time. Drop your need to be right, lighten up, decide what you actually want, and stop trying to deny another what they want.
There is an obvious but interestingly denied appreciation of reality, which is simply this: There is no known distinction, no identity, no definition or recognition of a thing, no theory, no absolute fact, no set of conclusions, no series of order, no knowledge that is created other than by the human mind in a vain attempt to understand and operate in the environment it finds itself in. There is no separation from the unity of the Divine, other than those distinctions we make as individuals. The sum total of this recognition is that we create more and more “rules of truth” on the basis that whatever makes the world seem simpler must be true. Believing in any of it makes it true to the believer, but not necessarily to everybody.
Like everybody I have used a series of distinctions that I have found useful, in order to make the relationships between male and female seem simple. I have included the structures of these distinctions in the chapter called “Maps for Exploring Consciousness.” While I appreciate some students will feel that my distinctions are not “correct”, I apologise ahead of time for any conflicts with other people’s beliefs. For those who believe that material gained from a “channelled” source is not valid, I also apologise and accept that it is probably a part of my own imagination that I think of as separate. I have used these models and distinctions as the bridge for communicating an underlying perception of reality that seems to be useful as we move into another age of evolution.
For centuries the world has been seen and noted as a world of duality. This is not strictly true, for the world is a world of polarity, as is everything from the Absolute down. The fundamental polarity is that a space exists separate from the Absolute, an absolute impossibility. It is here that we begin to conceive of the nature of paradox. More than just paradox, but that we recognise that when we can resolve, or perhaps better described by the term collapse, any paradox, then we rise to that level of consciousness that created the paradox in the first place. Thus, we can conceive that a space exists separate from the Absolute because as soon as a space exists the Absolute, the Void is no longer conceivable, yet all the while the Void interpenetrates, contains and is contained by the Endlessness.
Much of this would seem to be so highly esoteric as to be less than useless. I hope to demonstrate in this work that an understanding, albeit incomplete, allows the reader to assume a significant viewpoint into the real nature of relationship. Within this viewpoint you will begin to fathom the veiled references to mirrors and reflections, and the complementary nature of poles. Perhaps the essence of this material is it’s continual reference back to reality, the physical world as we know it. I believe that any truth can be ascertained from and demonstrated by known physical phenomena. Let me give an example of this related to the electromagnetic spectrum.
We know that the human system is attuned to seven specific colours, the visible spectrum. It is a very small band of the complete spectrum. At a lower frequency and longer wavelength lies two ranges, infrared and radio waves. At a higher frequency and shorter wavelength to visible light lies three more ranges, ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma rays. In all there are twelve distinct divisions, seven expressed and five unexpressed or hidden. In nature we will discover this same 7 and 5 pattern, continually revealed.
There is a significance to Men are from Mars (the Red planet) and Women are from Venus (the Green planet). As many of you will know Red and Green are complementary colours. If you stare at a red ball for a minute or two, and then look at a white wall, you see momentarily a green complementary ball; stare at green ball and you see a red one on the wall. Thus it is that the expressed pole of the colour contains an unexpressed pole that actually completes it. Every pole contains the paradox that formed it, in a occult or hidden form. Thus, an integrated unit separates into an expressed or desired pole and an unexpressed or resisted pole. We can all discover this is a major principle in life.
If you were to look at a white light and place both a red filter and a green filter in front of it, then there would be no colour at all, blackness, or in our terms, one would return to the void. This is the closest approximation of the Void we can get in the physical world. Yet it suffices to give a reference to the suggestion that when a Male and a Female are operating in true and full harmony, then the Absolute is being expressed. It also suggests that men and women are quite equal, though opposite. Red is a primary colour (this is in appearance only, as we shall see later, when looking at Goethe’s colour theory), yet green is a secondary one made up of blue and yellow. This may reflect the research that brain preferences focus men into single direct activities, while women use both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously, and can often do more than one task at the same time (Research now shows that multi-tasking is a very inefficient process).
Take this a little further and it becomes noticeable that the eye is naturally best attuned to the green part of the spectrum (although this may not have always been the case). Green is the middle point of the visible spectrum. Remember that green is a secondary colour made up of two primary ones, yellow and blue. Yellow appears just lower than green and blue just one higher on the spectrum. Red however is a primary colour at the lowest (physical) end of the spectrum and inherent again in violet at the high end. We shall see this reflected later in the section on chakras.
There are many more overlaps than this, and my whole treatise is based on the connections between observable phenomena and metaphysical ones. I will demonstrate the truth stated in the age-old adage of Hermes Trismegistus, “As above, So below”, and will actually expand this to include “As without, So within”, by constantly providing physical evidence from nature that has a correspondence to polarity, and through this, to relationships. The nature of colour, in the previous paragraph is such an example. The central tenet of the materials is “Understanding Reflections from Nature”.
From here will unfold a Universe quite unexpected; a Universe that is full of intrigue and innuendo. Where nothing can be actually measured, but meaning can be attributed by a signature gained from its similarity to observable phenomena in nature. We will enter the four distinct realms; the Intellectual; the Emotional; the Physical; and the Spiritual. We will see that each realm is more aligned with one or other of the polarities, and that one or other gender will have dominion in that realm. We will explore what occurs when dominion of that realm is attempted by the opposite gender. We will also explore the present western world and relate this back through history. All of this in order to begin to see the disorganisation by the last generation of the Piscean Age, and the collapse of an outdated cultural precedence. Let us hope that this work finds enough souls ready and willing to dedicate their lives to a return to natural order, of the deepest respect for their soul mates, within the largest frame that term can imply.
There are some terms that need some explanation. They are “the Absolute” or “Void”, and the other is “Source”. Effectively nothing can be said about the Absolute, it is a Void, an emptiness, as previously described. Within the Absolute is the potential for all things, yet none is manifest. As the potential within the Absolute begins to coalesce towards a singularity, potentials align, and at that moment when a creation is born, so too does Source exist. Source is the origin point within the Absolute from whence a creation is produced. It is the reason that aligning beliefs within an individual’s consciousness has the effect of Sourcing a reality. Finally, while the nature of this work may seem overly intellectual, it is necessary to understand the framework of Polarity and Paradox, the Absolute and Source, and the process of creation before one can ever come to any experiential clarity about the purpose of life and relationships.
